Fourth video! Not much to say about it, I guess lol
A remarkably strong generation of women poets has emerged in Korea in the last decade. For a week in April five of them will be visiting Berkeley, reading, and talking to Korean-American poets and the women poets of the Bay Area. This is a very rare chance to hear some of the most important and exciting voices in Asia: Jeongrye Choi, Young Mi Choi, Hyesoon Kim, Ra Hee-duk, Chung-hee Moon. They will be joined by Korean-American poets Cathy Hong, Suji Kwok, Sandra Lim, and Myung Mi Kim.

I had the honor of reading a few poems at the Academy of American Poet’s event “poetry and the Creative Mind” this week. I chose a poem by Charlotte Perkins Gilman called “The Anti-Suffragists,” one by Emily Dickinson called “I measure every Grief I meet,” and finally “Maggie and Millie and Molly and May” by E.E. Cummings.
The event was great, but I could only film backstage. Still, we managed to get some cool material, including a quick interview with Meryl Streep.
